British R+B star CRAIG DAVID blames his sexual inexperience as a teenager for past reports suggesting he is gay.

The WALKING AWAY hitmaker - who has previously dated actress SOFIA VERGARA and models ROXY INGRAM and Aida Yespica - insists he shied away from female fans early on because he was intimidated by their age and experience.

He says, "Those rumours started back when we were playing RE-REWIND in the clubs. All these women in the audience were interested in me, but I was having none of it.

"Why? Well, you know, I was 17, still relatively inexperienced, sexually speaking, and these women were - what 24, 25. They terrified me."
