BEYONCE SETTLES FOR SECOND BEST IN EUROPEAN CHARTS

BEYONCE KNOWLES has failed to topple dance star GURU JOSH PROJECT from the top of the European singles chart - her single IF I WERE A BOY has landed at number two.

The former Destiny's Child singer has scored number ones in the U.S. and U.K. with her latest release - but she will have to settle for second place in Europe as Guru Josh Project's Infinity 2008 remains the continent's most popular track for a fourth consecutive week.

Pink's So What sits at three, while T.I.'s Live Your Life duet with Rihanna has shot up the chart from 60 to number four.

Amy MacDonald rounds out the top five with This Is The Life.

Meanwhile, AC/DC remain frozen at number one in the European albums chart - Black Ice continues to prove a big hit in its fifth week on release.

Enya trails in second with And Winter Came, while Pink slips one spot to three with Funhouse.
