Veteran singer ALICE COOPER never let his kids see his onstage persona in the flesh - so they could differentiate between their dad and his rock 'n' roll alter ego.

Cooper - real name Vincent Furnier - has three children with his wife Sheryl: Calico, 27, Dashiel, 23, and Sonora, 15.

And Furnier always insisted on keeping his Alice Cooper alter ego completely separate from his personal life - to avoid confusing the kids as they grew up.

He says, "Alice Cooper never comes into the house. Even when my kids were young, if they saw me on TV they'd say, 'That's Alice Cooper,' not, 'That's daddy.'

"Everyone knows that Alice only comes to life on stage."
