Gwyneth Paltrow is urging her overweight chef pal Mario+Batali">Mario Batali to slim down and shape up - by offering him free membership to her soon-to-open New York gym.
The Shakespeare In Love star is a fitness fanatic and she's teamed up with personal trainer Tracy Anderson to launch an exclusive workout centre in the trendy Tribeca area of the Big Apple this summer (09).
And Paltrow is reportedly so worried for Batali's health, she's waived the $4,500 (£3,100) membership fee to help the chef - nicknamed Fanta Pants - drop the extra pounds.
A source tells the New York Post's Page Six column, "Mario is the only fat friend she has, and she wants him to change."
